I’m Edd Jones from East Yorkshire in the UK.

Growing up with Cerebral Palsy, I was told art wasn’t my thing. Fine motor control? Not exactly my strong suit. School art classes were quick and frustrating, leaving everything feeling rushed and…well, messy.

Fast forward a couple of decades, and like everything else in life, I decided to rewrite the narrative. Turns out, a little mess can lead to a masterpiece!

My art is bold, unfiltered, and a touch abstract. Some might call it naïve, but I see it as pure expression. The creative process itself is a form of mindfulness for me, a journey of learning and exploration.

These days, you’ll find me working with acrylics or oil pastels, often blended with linseed oil and charcoal. The textures and vibrancy keep things interesting.

Since 2022, I’ve been honing my skills at Feral Art School in Hull. Their classes have been a game-changer, pushing me to experiment with new mediums and approaches. As part of their fellowship program, I’m surrounded by a supportive community of artists who inspire me to keep pushing boundaries.

So, here I am, a messy kid-at-heart turned artist, proving that limitations can become launching pads for creativity. Stick around and see where the journey takes me!
